Tranquil and relaxing music helped put us in the mood. My friends and I each took our turn sampling the treatments. I had a facial that lasted for 1½ hours. It included a thorough cleansing, masque, exfoliation, extruding, peel, and mini arm, hand, leg and foot massages. The time seemed to fly and by the end of my session, my face was feeling wonderfully clean and fresh.

One friend chose the full body massage, which normally is one hour, but due to our schedule she took a thirty-minute massage instead. She said that if she had the full hour she would have felt even better than she did.

“Patricia gives a wonderful massage and is very intuitive to what is going on with your body.” According to my friend, “She just seemed to know where my problem areas were and was able to tell that I sit a lot in my job and she knew how that affected me.”

My other friend chose the thirty-minute foot dip and massage treatment. It included a foot soak, exfoliation, and lotion, and finished up with a wonderful massage. According to Patricia, this treatment was designed for men who don't pamper their feet and for people who are on their feet all day while sailing.

We walked out of the Akparo Salon and Spa calm and relaxed. Akparo Salon and Spa also offers “traveling services,” arranging massages and esthetic services in the privacy of your own yacht, home, or private rental.
