	Hôtel Martinez***** (Cannes) In France, the Hôtel Martinez is synonomous with luxury. The 1920s palace on La Croisette boasts 397 deluxe rooms and suites, many with views directly over the beach. 	Massena**** (Nice) Located just a few blocks from the Baie des Anges, this four star hotel exhibits a certain quirkiness of spirit. With only 106 guestrooms, the staff is able to provide dedicated service. The hotel has a bar and coffee shop; most rooms in the Belle Epoque building have balconies. 	Meridien Garden Beach**** (Antibes) This is one of the largest and most elaborate hotels in the area, located on the beach at Juan les Pins. Rooms face either the pine forest or the sea, and all have en suite full baths, mini-bar, satellite television, telephones with data port, air-conditioning and safe. This hotel also has a casino on-site, a "cigar afficionados" club, a fitness center with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, two restaurants, one of which is open during the summer season only. 	Meridien Nice**** (Nice) This elegant four-star 318-guestroom hotel is located directly on Promenade des Anglais just opposite the beach and the Albert Premier gardens. 	Hôtel Negresco**** (Nice) Probably the best known of the luxury hotels in Nice, this National Historic Monument , built in 1912, is a true palace. Art and architectural pieces from several centuries are exhibited throughout the hotel, including 16th century doors from the palace of the mother of King Henry IV and contemporary sculpture by Niki de Saint-Phalle. The 163 guestrooms and suites are decorated in styles ranging from Louis XIII to Art Deco, and the rooms are elegant if occasionally kitschy. The bathrooms have all been upgraded to include marble fascia, tub and shower, hair dryers. There is a private beach and the hotel is home to one of the best restaurants in town, Chantecler.
