This new four-star hotel is created from an existing historic building on the corner of busy Canal Street and quiet Rue Royal. The 192 guestrooms and suites are elegantly decorated in typical New Orleans style, with Mardi Gras colors of golds and purples; exposed brick walls, high ceilings and wood floors are available in some of the rooms, but all have oversized windows. Each room has a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, modem line, mini-bar, elegant bathroom with high-end amenities and cotton bathrobes.

Best Western French Quarter Landmark
The Landmark is a traditional French Quarter hotel located at the boundary of the Vieux Carré on a historic site. The 102 recently renovated guestrooms and suites each have coffee makers, cable television, telephones with data port, in-room safes, and voicemail. There is a charming courtyard with a pool, a bar and restaurant on site.

Chateau LeMoyne - a Holiday Inn
This French Quarter hotel remains one of our favorites and is about as far as you can get from a typical Holiday Inn. Located a block from Bourbon Street, it offers a quiet respite from the noise and bustle of the activity, but also offers easy access. The hotel has a series of courtyards, pool, a small but elegant lobby, a restaurant for breakfast and a quiet, refined bar. Recently renovated rooms are large and comfortable; some have balconies overlooking the French Quarter rooftops. OUR REVIEW

Dauphine Orleans
In the quiet part of the French Quarter but just one block from bustling Bourbon Street, this small historic hotel is ready to pamper you in New Orleans style. Complimentary Continental breakfast and afternoon tea is offered, and there is a tiny quiet courtyard with pool. Many of the rooms have balconies, and all have coffee/tea maker, satellite television and hair dryers.
