The nicest thing about the Beacon were the cleaning ladies. The people at the front desk were not pleasant. When we were checking out after a one month stay, I asked if we could stay in the room until 2pm because I was traveling with my 78 year old mother and two children. The woman at the front desk who was in charge said -no! I told her that after one month the least they could do was let us stay 2 more hours. After a while someone phoned me to say that we could stay. Her whole attitude was lousy. And I'm a New Yorker.
