Du Chat Noir**
Aside from the fact that we love the name of this hotel, "The Black Cat," it also offers excellent value in a vibrant area near Montmartre. The nine-storey hotel has large windows for lots of light. Small simple rooms include ensuite baths, telephone and cable television. Rooms are clean and cheery but not at all deluxe. The owner is also the owner of Place de Tertre restaurant in the Montmartre area; he loves to give dining discounts to his hotel guests.

The owner of this hotel, a baker by trade and training, became a painter and offers an art gallery in the hotel. Family run, with 55 cozy guestrooms in dark wood, the hotel also offers a brasserie/café. Rooms are simply furnished with shower or bath, television and telephone. Some rooms face a quiet courtyard. The hotel is just a block from the Méro and close to Montmartre and the basillica of Sacre Coeur.

This is one of the lovliest hotels in all of Paris, sitting directly at the foot of Montmartre. Owned by the same family since 1913, this hotel is a jewel in the crown of Paris. It's renowned restaurant, La Terrasse, is located on the ground floor, but in good weather you can dine outside on the seventh floor terrace overlooking the lights of Paris. Rooms are nicely equipped with amenities befitting a four star hotel; elegant baths, sumptuous fabrics and furnishings, minibars, air conditioning, cable and satellite television with pay channels, luxurious bath products, Internet connection.
