This is one of our favorites in the 1st District, very British in style and atmosphere. We like it because it's small (only 40 guestrooms) and charming; it's well-located around the corner from the Louvre and between two Metro stations, each within a block

Residence Louvre Concorde***
Located literally steps from the Tuilerie Gardens, near Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elysées, this small (25 guestrooms) hotel is convenient and comfortable. All the rooms are air-conditioned, with satellite TV, mini bar, room safe and private bathroom with hairdryer. There is a courtyard through which you enter and the actual hotel starts on the third floor. A deluxe Continental breakfast buffet is included in the room rate.

Hôtel des Tuileries***
One of our favorites, this hotel was an 18th Century mansion and now has 32 rooms and suites decorated in French elegance with all of the modern amenites. Although the rooms tend to be small, the rates are excellent, much lower than other hotels of this quality in this neighborhood.
